REYBANPAC was recognized among the 100 Most Responsible Companies in Ecuador according to a study conducted by the corporate monitor MERCO and published in a special report of El Universo newspaper.
The ranking considered the perception and evaluation of 13 sources of information based on the merits of the companies at the environmental, social, ethical and governance levels. Reybanpac is the only company in the banana sector to achieve a position in the ranking.
This result reflects the company's strong commitment to responsible ESG (Environmental, Social and Governance) management. Reybanpac's milestones throughout its history include being the pioneer in South America (1990s) in obtaining environmental certification, then called ECO-OK, for all its farms. Today, the company has multiple national and international certifications that endorse its good agricultural, environmental, and social practices.
At the same time, the company has a long-standing relationship of transformational support to neighboring rural communities through the Wong Foundation, which was created in 1993 to contribute to the growth and well-being of people through quality education. The Foundation annually benefits more than 900 children and young people through three educational units, four child development centers and productive technical programs.
