Reybanpac received three awards at the Banana Awards 2022

On the night of October 25, during the opening of the XIX International Banana Convention "Banana Time 2022", the Banana Awards 2022 were held. During the ceremony organized by the Association of Banana Exporters of Ecuador (AEBE), Reybanpac received three awards.

This is the first edition of the Banana Awards, which according to José Antonio Hidalgo, Executive President of AEBE, recognizes the efficiency, diversification, performance, potential markets, financial stability and sustainability of Ecuadorian banana exporting companies "with the aim of enhancing the efforts that our companies assume day by day to bring quality and sustainable bananas to all corners of the world.”

Reybanpac, producer and exporter of the Favorita banana brand, received three awards: Export Efficiency; Market Diversification; and Sustainable Development. The evaluation process for the Banana Awards 2022 was audited by Deloitte & Touche Ecuador CIA LTDA.

Vicente A. Wong, general manager of Reybanpac comments: “The last few years have been especially challenging for the banana industry. In this sense, market diversification and efficiency have been key strategies for our business. We receive these awards on behalf of our entire work team. Reybanpac is the main banana producer in Ecuador, in 2021 it exported 27 million boxes of bananas, distributed to 26 destinations on 5 continents.
