On July 18, Vicente Wong was awarded an honorary doctorate degree by the University Center for Entrepreneurial Development of Mexico, in recognition of his social commitment and solid human values put into practice during his extensive professional career.
Geraldine Weber, institutional vice-rector of the International Cloister for Brotherhood and Universal Rights -the event's organizing body- emphasized that the spirit of the awards was to recognize the extraordinary activities carried out by people in different fields such as business, health, science, and other areas that are fundamental for Ecuador's progress.
During the award ceremony, Wong said he was honored to receive such an important distinction. “This achievement represents not only years of hard work and dedication but also an unwavering commitment to corporate responsibility and building a more sustainable future for our planet and the development of generations to come,” he said.
Reybanpac's CEO highlighted that, throughout his professional life, along with his family, they have been committed to generating thousands of sources of employment in rural areas, fostering leaders, and developing the potential of the communities near the company's operations.
“May this doctoral degree serve as an incentive to continue on the path of responsibility, innovation, and service to the community. May our work inspire others to join this noble cause so that together we can build a more sustainable world for all,” he concluded.
