Reybanpac, Wong Foundation and the Ecuadorian Ministry of Education signed a new cooperation agreement for the execution of the Technical Baccalaureate in Agricultural Production.

On January 24, Vicente A. Wong, general manager of Reybanpac, Ricardo Romero, director of the Wong Foundation and Viviana Narea, zonal coordinator of the Ministry of Education signed an agreement that will continue the Technical Baccalaureate in Agricultural Production for the school years 2022-2023 and 2023-2024.

The purpose of the alliance between the private and public sectors is the implementation of a dual system to strengthen the education model through the acquisition of skills and knowledge linked to real situations in the productive environment.

In the first class, 37 young people benefited from this program. On this occasion there will be 70 students from the Ciudad de Valencia Educational Unit, company workers and graduates from the Foundation's schools. They will strengthen their productive technical skills and, in turn, will increase their chances of insertion and growth in the labor market. In a first stage, students will receive theoretical training by teachers from the Ciudad de Valencia Educational Unit, and later they will carry out their internships in one of the Reybanpac farms.

The program, which has no cost to its participants, contemplates a total of 1,200 hours of training within a period of 10 months; 50% theoretical and 50% practical.

Through this cooperation with the Ministry of Education and the Wong Foundation, Reybanpac seeks to contribute to the professional development of young people from rural communities in the provinces of Los Ríos and Santo Domingo.
