As part of the celebration of the twentieth anniversary of Gear Up, founder and retired firefighter Vincent Forras, gave a special recognition to Vicente Wong, CEO of Reybanpac, for his contribution to the organization.
On August 25, a commemorative event was held chaired by the Governor of Guayas, Ab Vicente Taiano, together with the Gear Up Foundation, where tribute was paid to those who perished in the terrorist act against the twin towers in New York. Gear Up was born as a result of the events of 9/11 with the mission of honoring those who died on that date. Since then, the Foundation has developed programs in 10 countries, including Ecuador, with the aim of saving lives.
During the ceremony, Gear Up recognized the people who have collaborated with its programs and made possible the work of the foundation in Ecuador to train and equip the country's fire brigades.
"We thank you very much for believing in us." Said Vincent Forras to Vicente Wong. “We have a long history, you have helped us from the beginning and we wish for you to continue contributing with us. God bless you."
For Reybanpac it is always a source of satisfaction and part of its commitment to support initiatives for the benefit of the community. We congratulate the Gear Up Foundation for its work and we appreciate the opportunity to collaborate together in this cause.
