From the Individual to Collective Impact: Reybanpac Promotes Responsible Consumption Among Its Team

2026-03-27

At Reybanpac, sustainability is not limited to compliance with standards and the implementation of best practices; rather, we view it as a cross-cutting principle that is built from our internal culture.

Therefore, as part of the “We Are Sustainable, We Are Reybanpac” campaign, we conducted the “Responsible Consumption” workshop, which aimed to create a space for reflection and action to strengthen criteria, question habits, and take on a more conscious role regarding consumption patterns. During the session, participants learned tips on how to properly manage different types of waste generated daily in order to reduce pollution and protect the environment.

Specifically, to raise greater awareness of the importance of recycling in daily life, we have installed containers for separating plastic waste and batteries in our offices in both Guayaquil and Quevedo—a simple action that, when carried out as a team, can have a significant impact.

This initiative, implemented by our Sustainability department, stems from the need to understand that every choice—whether personal or organizational—is part of a chain of shared responsibility.

Managers, coordinators, and team leaders from the banana unit participated in both workshops. Our “Reybanpac Ambassadors” also attended, aware that organizational culture is shaped by leadership and that responsible consumption is a cross-cutting habit reinforced through example, daily decisions, and the messages we convey to our teams.

“When leadership incorporates these principles and lives by them consistently, it not only strengthens its credibility but also helps build a more coherent, resilient organization that is aligned with today’s environmental challenges,” emphasized Selene Caballero, Sustainability Analyst and campaign lead.

In our company, sustainability isn’t just declared—it’s demonstrated, practiced, and multiplied by each and every one of us.
