Achievements that nurture people, a future that cultivates well-being
As 2025 draws to a close, we look back with pride and gratitude. It has been a year of challenges and lessons learned that have been transformed into significant achievements, confirming that when we work together, we are capable of achieving much more than we ever imagined.
I would like to begin by expressing my deepest gratitude to the entire Reybanpac family: to our agricultural and administrative team, who day after day give their effort, commitment, and passion to every stage of the process. Thanks to this joint effort, we closed the year by reaching a historic milestone: 31.1 million boxes of bananas exported. Behind each piece of fruit is a shared effort and a firm commitment to quality, as well as the certainty that our work reaches millions of families around the world with nutritious, reliable, and high-value food.
This achievement drives us to keep moving forward, but it also reminds us of the responsibility we take on every day. Caring for our farms, protecting jobs, and confronting the threats that affect the country's crops with commitment is a shared task. I am convinced that if we continue to work as a team and with responsibility, we will continue to protect our plantations and produce bananas that we can all be proud of.
For almost five decades, Reybanpac was born with a clear purpose: to nurture people and cultivate well-being. True to that purpose, in 2025 we continue to generate value beyond economic results, positively impacting our people, the environment, and the communities around us.
An example of this commitment is the first promotion of the Banana Technical Assistants program, developed in conjunction with the Wong Foundation and the Albert Heijn Foundation. Today, 41 young people who started this journey without employment are looking to the future with new opportunities: 93% are already working and the rest are continuing their university education, reflecting the real impact we generate when we invest in the development of young talent.
Likewise, together with Plan International and the Wong Foundation, we are carrying out the second edition of the Women Empowering Women program, which promotes female leadership and empowerment in rural communities. To date, we have positively impacted 141 women, including mentees, mentors, and scholarship recipients, strengthening their skills and opening up new opportunities for growth.
Our commitment to the planet also took firm steps forward this year. Through the Circular Economy Program, we donated seven playgrounds made from recycled plastic to all of Wong Foundation's educational centers, demonstrating that waste can be transformed into smiles and learning spaces. In addition, thanks to our microorganism biofactory, we will achieve zero use of nematicides by 2025, caring for the health of our soils in a responsible and sustainable manner.
We continue to promote corporate sustainability through Steps with a Future, an initiative we share with other organizations committed to sustainable development in Ecuador, convinced that real change is built through partnerships.
We are proud of the recognition we have received this year in areas such as social and environmental responsibility, reputation, employability, sustainability, and gender equality. However, our greatest recognition is the trust of our customers, financial partners, suppliers, and allied producers. Thank you for believing in us and for walking alongside us.
With our sights set on 2026, we renew our commitment to continue adding value to our customers and consumers, offering a quality product and specialized service, always with respect for people and the environment.
I sincerely wish you a new year full of well-being, peace, and prosperity for you and your families. May we continue to cultivate a better future together.
